Renee holds a Masters of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She earned her degree from the Florida Institute of Technology where she graduated Cum Laude. She received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Florida where she graduated Cum Laude with a major in psychology with a strong emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Renee's many years of work experience and educational background truly benefits those she serves. Some of her experiences include a position as the Behavior Program Manager at the University of Florida’s Center for Self-Injury. Here, she worked under the direct supervision of internationally known and premier researcher in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, Dr. Brian Iwata. Her position was responsible for the assessment and treatment of problem behavior, conducting preference assessments and PECS, staff training and preparation of reports for clients diagnosed with various developmental disabilities.
Subsequently, Renee worked as a Behavior Specialist at Devereux of Florida where she worked with children and adults. Here she developed and implemented behavior intervention plans, held staff trainings and conducted research.
Renee specializes in the assessment and treatment of problem behavior, analysis of verbal behavior and parent/teacher training. Renee has written and implemented various ABA and Verbal Behavior Programs (VB) for children and young adults with autism in a 1:1 setting. She has served a variety of populations including children and adults with autism, aspergers, mental retardation, Down Syndrome, Prader-Willie Syndrome (PWS) and typically developing adolescents. In addition, she has worked in numerous settings which include: private homes, adult workshops, group homes, schools and research laboratories.
